The Best Family Outdoor Activities in Boise Idaho: The Idaho Fish and Game MK Nature Center

This week, Dustin and I took another adventure through the great outdoors! Follow along as we explore the MK Nature Center.

The best part about exploring all the wildlife Boise has to offer is getting to enjoy it with friends and family. If you watch the video above, you will get to see our kids running around and having the time of their lives.

The Idaho Fish and Game MK Nature Center sites on over four acres of land right on the Boise River Greenbelt. As you cruise along, you can take the StreamWalk and check out the Visitor Center which shared more information on all the different types of landscape you can see in the great state of Idaho.

The MK Nature Center first opened in 1990 and has been owned and operate by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game ever since. It’s definitely a premier spot to learn about wildlife in the Treasure Valley.

Our kids really enjoyed the underwater viewing windows you can look through along the stream. You can get a fish-eye view of what the world looks like beneath the surface.

Be sure to check out the Nature Center website because they offer cool events like the hands-on Spring Wildlife event. They had a live peregrine falcon and taught visitors what to do if you encounter a bear!

The visitor center is open Tuesday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm and weekends from 11 am to 5 pm. The StreamWalk can be visited daily from dawn to dusk.
