Nampa Idaho Real Estate Nampa Homes for Sale

Nampa, Idaho is located in the southwestern part of the state and is the third biggest town in Idaho after Boise and Meridian taking the first and second positions respectively. Located at just a 30 minute drive from downtown Boise, Nampa is one of it’s most important suburbs. The population of Nampa is increasing rapidly like many of the surrounding cities. It was at one time the second largest city in the Treasure Valley, but has been outpaced in growth by Meridian in recent years. The Treasure Valley as it’s known locally comprises the cities of Boise, Nampa, Meridian, Star, Eagle, Caldwell and Kuna.

Nampa Real Estate Market

The Nampa real estate market is on the rise and homes in the area are commanding higher and higher prices, however they are still more affordable than homes for sale in Boise or Meridian. Despite it’s rapid growth, Nampa still retains the charm of a much smaller town. There is a large historic downtown region with many homes that are well over 100 years old. Nampa is a great place to live and has something for every family regardless of whether they’re just starting out or are looking for the perfect acreage. While Nampa’s population is fairly large at just over 100,000 citizens it doesn’t seem so large because the city is sprawling. With plenty of room to grow out there is not a feeling of the city being crowded.

Arts and Entertainment

Nampa maintains 29 parks, miles of pedestrian pathways, 3 public swimming pools, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, disc golf, and traditional golf courses. With so many activities you’ll never be looking for something to do. Nampa also maintains the Nampa Recreation Center, which was recently renamed the Harward Recreation Center after long time Nampa resident Ken Harward. The rec center provides a pool, gym facilities, basket ball courts, rock climbing wall and many other physical activities. Also available at the rec center are classes ranging from fitness to cake and flower decorating.

The Ford Idaho Center is a multi-purpose arena that hosts many different events throughout the year. It is the permanent home of both the Snake River Stampede, and the Idaho Horsemen arena football team. It also hosts a variety of Concerts and festivals.

The Nampa Civic Center hosts music, and live theater events, and can be rented out for business conferences etc.

Education

Nampa has two school districts. The Nampa school district is the primary district and it shares the Vallivue School District with Caldwell. There are approximately 19,000 children enrolled in one of Nampa’s 18 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, or two high schools. Nampa schools also provide a host of charter schools and academic programs for the city’s youth and adults.

Nampa hosts Northwest Nazarene University and the College of Western Idaho.
