Leon's life's story begins in the railroad town of Jerome, Idaho. Leon's family later moved to Wells, Nevada where he grew up working as ranch hand, delivering groceries, and graduating from the public schools. Following high school, he attended various universities, eventually graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, and a Master's Degree in Education Administration. Teaching for 40 years in the public school and college level courses brought him to retirement in 2018.
Leon and Kathy raised nine children and have many grandchildren, adding great grandchildren to the list. At present they have been married over 50 years and now have embarked on a journey in real estate. In their lifetime they have built two houses in Montana and had a home built for them here in Nampa. The journey into real estate developed when it was decided Leon needed a career path that would be of benefit for himself, the family, and others. Leon's plans for being a Real Estate Agent is to learn all he can concerning this industry and developing a fiduciary climate for all his clients.
Military service in the Army lasted nearly ten years, leaving to pursue a steady career in education. Leon loved teaching and coaching all kinds of sports. Coaching included youth football and soccer, and junior high sports, i.e., basketball, track and field, and cross country. His interests include, hunting, fishing, camping, and watching college and professional sports. Additionally, he remains active with the family and visiting with his children and grandchildren whenever possible.
